When you kiln dry cypress , you normally bring the moisture content down to between 12% -18% depending on the application.

Our lumber is sold in random lengths from 4' -16', unless specified at the time of ordering. We also offer lumber and beams in lengths up to 44' in length.
What is the difference between rough sawn and smooth planed lumber?
Rough lumber refers to the texture of the lumber as it comes directly off the saw blade. Planed lumber can be S1S, surfaced on one side only, S2S, surfaced on 2 sides, S3S surfaced on 3 sides, and S4S surfaced on all four sides of the lumber.

There is one species grown in the United States, scientific name Taxodium Distichtim, Bald Cypress is the most common name. It is know by other marketing names as red cypress, tidewater cypress, coastal cypress, gulf cypress, pond cypress, white cypress, yellow cypress.

Cypress grows much slower than pine, which is a faster growing tree in its natural setting.
